These modules are engineered to maintain and, in some instances, enhance the functionality of your vehicle's original features when an aftermarket radio is installed, particularly with iDatalink-compatible head units. This integration is achieved by connecting the new stereo with the vehicle's existing systems and translating information through the CAN bus network.

3.1. Aftermarket Radios

For the most comprehensive integration, including retention of advanced features like infotainment system control and exclusive Maestro screens (e.g., gauges, vehicle information, climate control), it is recommended to pair the ADS-MIC1 with iDatalink-compatible radios from the following brands:

- Check all wiring connections between the ADS-MIC1, the aftermarket radio, and the vehicle's factory microphone harness. Ensure connections are secure.
- Confirm that your aftermarket radio has a 3.5mm microphone input and that the ADS-MIC1 is connected to it.
- Ensure the aftermarket radio's settings are configured to use an external microphone input, if applicable.
