The Alcatel XL685 is a DECT cordless fixed phone designed for ease of use, particularly for seniors. It combines essential telephony features with enhanced accessibility options.
- XL Format Fixed Phone: Features a large, high-contrast white backlit graphic display, large, ultra-readable characters, contrasting large keys, and a luminous indicator for incoming calls.
- אַודיאָ Amplification & Hands-Free: Hearing aid compatible, equipped with a loud ringer, an audio boost button that doubles the sound volume with one click (+10dB) up to a maximum of 25dB, and an adjustable hands-free volume for clear conversations.
- קאָנטאַקט פאַרוואַלטונג: Stores up to 100 contacts in its directory, keeps a log of the last 50 calls, and includes two keys for quick access to favorite numbers.
- Unwanted Call Blocking: Block up to 100 unwanted numbers using a dedicated key. An automatic mode allows only registered contacts to ring, blocking 100% of anonymous calls.

3. סעטאַפּ
3.1. קאַנעקטינג די באַזע סטאַנציע
- Connect the telephone line cable to the socket on the base station and to your telephone wall socket.

- Place the handset on the base station to charge the battery. Ensure the handset is properly seated.
3.2. באַטאַרייע ייַנמאָנטירונג און טשאַרדזשינג
- עפענען די באַטאַרייע אָפּטייל דעקן אויף די צוריק פון די כאַנדסעט.
- Insert the supplied NiMH batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- נאָענט די דעקן פון די באַטאַרייע אָפּטייל.
- For optimal performance, charge the handset for at least 15 hours before initial use.

4. אַפּערייטינג ינסטרוקטיאָנס
4.1. מאכן און ריסיווינג קאַללס
- מאַכן אַ רוף: Dial the number and press the green call button (📞).
- באַקומען אַ רוף: When the phone rings, press the green call button (📞).
- ענדיקן אַ רוף: Press the red end call button (☎️) or place the handset back on the base.
- הענט-פריי: During a call, press the hands-free button to activate or deactivate the speakerphone. Adjust volume using the navigation keys.
4.2. Using the Audio Boost Function
The Audio Boost function increases the receiver volume for users with hearing difficulties.
- During a call, press the dedicated Audio Boost button (often marked with an ear icon or '+').
- The volume will increase by +10dB, up to a maximum of 25dB.
4.3. Managing Contacts (Directory)

4.4. Call Blocking Features
The XL685 offers robust call blocking to enhance your peace of mind.
- מאַנועלע בלאָקירונג: During or after a call from an unwanted number, press the dedicated call blocking button (often marked with a 'STOP' or '🚫' icon) to add the number to the block list. Up to 100 numbers can be blocked.
- אויטאָמאַטיש בלאָקירן: Activate the automatic blocking mode via the phone's menu. In this mode, only numbers saved in your directory will be able to ring through. All other calls, including anonymous ones, will be blocked.
