3.1 Initial Power-On and Wi-Fi Setup

  1. Connect the scanner to a compatible vehicle's diagnostic port using the appropriate cable (CAT-9 Pin or DIESEL 6/9 Pin). The device will power on automatically.
  2. Navigate to the 'Settings' menu on the scanner's 5-inch high-resolution screen.
  3. Select 'Wi-Fi' and connect to an available 2.4G Wi-Fi network.

The HD3300 Plus+ supports various diagnostic protocols and connector types. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is in the 'ON' position (engine off) before connecting.

  1. Locate the diagnostic port in your heavy-duty truck. This is typically found near the driver's footwell or under the dashboard.
  2. Select the appropriate adapter cable (CAT-9 Pin, DIESEL 6/9 Pin, or OBD 16 Pin) based on your vehicle's requirements.
  3. Connect the adapter cable to the scanner and then to the vehicle's diagnostic port.

The scanner features a user-friendly interface with directional buttons and an 'OK' button for navigation and selection. The 'Return' button allows you to go back to the previous screen.

The HD3300 Plus+ provides in-depth diagnostics for all major truck systems, including Engine, Transmission, ABS, EBS, ESC, ASR, Airbag, BCM, SCR, Instrument, Air Suspension, and DPF.

  1. From the main menu, select 'HD Truck' or 'OBDII/EOBD' depending on the vehicle type and desired diagnostic mode.
  2. Choose the specific system you wish to diagnose (e.g., Engine, ABS, Transmission).
  3. The scanner will perform a scan and display any detected fault codes.

After a system scan, you can view detailed information about detected fault codes and clear them once repairs are made.

  2. To clear codes, select 'Erase Codes' and confirm the action. Ensure the underlying issue is resolved before clearing codes to prevent their immediate return.

  1. From the diagnostic menu, select 'Live Data'.

4.5 DTC Lookup

  2. Enter the DTC code using the on-screen keyboard to view its description.

5. DPF Regeneration Functions

The HD3300 Plus+ offers professional DPF regeneration capabilities to maintain engine performance and emission control efficiency. This includes DPF reset, forced regeneration, DPR status monitoring, and DPD regeneration.

  1. From the main menu, select 'DPF'.
  2. Choose the specific DPF function you wish to perform (e.g., Forced Regen, DPF Reset).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully. Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-ventilated area and meets all conditions for regeneration.

6. Oil Light Reset Function

The scanner supports OEM-level oil reset for ISUZU, FUSO, and HINO vehicles, allowing you to reset the Oil Life Reminder after an oil change.

  1. From the main menu, select 'Service Reset'.
  2. Choose 'Oil Reset' and select the appropriate vehicle make.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the oil light reset.

8. טראָובלעשאָאָטינג

8.1 DPF Regeneration Failure

If DPF regeneration fails, consider the following:

  • Ensure vehicle/engine DPF regeneration compatibility.
  • Verify soot level to determine if DPF regeneration is needed.
  • Check other conditions: clear existing fault codes, ensure AC is off, and address any derate codes.

8.2 Unable to Clear Codes

If you are unable to clear fault codes, check the following:

  • Verify scanner compatibility with the vehicle.
  • Fix the relevant issue causing the code before attempting to clear.
  • Ensure the correct test path is selected.
  • Inactive fault codes cannot be cleared.
  • Post-repair codes may require the vehicle to be driven for a period before they can be fully cleared.
