Compatible with standard Bowens Mount COB lights, this softbox enhances light quality and offers portability for creative professionals.

1. Unfolding the Softbox

1. Remove the softbox from its storage bag.
2. Hold the softbox by its Bowens mount base.
3. Pull up the latch on the quick-release mechanism until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating the softbox is fully open and locked into position.

2. Attaching to a Bowens Mount Light

1. Align the Bowens mount of the softbox with the Bowens mount on your COB light.
2. Insert the softbox into the light's mount and rotate it clockwise until it locks securely into place.
3. Ensure the softbox is firmly attached before proceeding.

3. Installing Diffusion Cloths and Honeycomb Grid

1. For softer light, attach the inner diffusion cloth to the internal Velcro tabs inside the softbox.
2. For further diffusion, attach the outer diffusion cloth to the external Velcro tabs on the front rim of the softbox.
3. To control light spill and add directionality, attach the honeycomb grid to the outer Velcro tabs on the front of the softbox, over the outer diffusion cloth if used.

Adjusting Light Direction and Quality

• The softbox can be rotated on the light fixture to achieve desired light angles.
• Experiment with using the inner diffuser, outer diffuser, and honeycomb grid in various combinations to achieve different levels of softness and light control.
• For broad, soft light, use both inner and outer diffusers.
• For more controlled, directional light with minimal spill, add the honeycomb grid.

Optimal Usage Scenarios

• Portraits: Position the softbox close to the subject for soft, flattering light.
• Still Life Photography: Use the softbox to evenly illuminate products or objects, minimizing harsh shadows.

• סטאָרידזש: After use, disassemble the softbox by pinching the closure clips on the Bowens mount to fold it down. Store all components in the provided storage bag to protect them from dust and damage.
• האַנדלינג: Avoid excessive force when opening or closing the softbox to prevent damage to the ribs and quick-release mechanism.

• Softbox not opening/closing smoothly: Ensure no fabric is caught in the quick-release mechanism. Apply gentle, even pressure. If resistance persists, check for bent ribs.
• Light spill around the edges: Verify that the Bowens mount is securely attached to the light fixture. Ensure the honeycomb grid is properly installed if you intend to minimize spill.
• Uneven light: Check that the inner and outer diffusion cloths are smoothly attached without wrinkles or folds. Ensure the light source is centered within the softbox.
