The Arctis Nova 1 headset connects to your devices using a standard 3.5mm audio jack. Ensure your device has a compatible port.

- Locate the 3.5mm audio jack on your PC or Mac. This is often a single port for both audio output and microphone input, or separate ports.
- Plug the 3.5mm cable from the Arctis Nova 1 headset firmly into the audio jack.
- If your PC has separate ports for headphones and microphone, you may need a PC splitter cable (not included) to utilize both functions.
- Adjust audio settings in your operating system (Sound Settings on Windows, Sound Preferences on Mac) to ensure the Arctis Nova 1 is selected as the default playback and recording device.
Connecting to Gaming Consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch) and Mobile Devices
- For PlayStation and Xbox controllers, plug the 3.5mm cable directly into the controller's headset jack.
- For Nintendo Switch, plug the 3.5mm cable into the console's audio jack.
- For mobile devices, plug the 3.5mm cable into your phone or tablet's audio jack. If your device lacks a 3.5mm jack, an adapter (e.g., USB-C to 3.5mm, Lightning to 3.5mm) may be required (not included).
- Adjust audio settings within the console or mobile device's system menu to ensure proper audio output and microphone input.

The Arctis Nova 1 features an on-board volume wheel located on the left earcup. Rotate the wheel upwards to increase volume and downwards to decrease volume.

For PlayStation 5, ensure Tempest 3D Audio is enabled in the console's audio settings. For Xbox, utilize Microsoft Spatial Sound settings.
