2. Push down and turn the corresponding control knob counter-clockwise to the maximum flame position.
3. Hold the knob for a few seconds to allow the flame safety device to activate. Release the knob; the burner should remain lit. If it extinguishes, repeat the process.
4. Adjust the flame size by turning the knob between the maximum and minimum flame settings.
5. To turn off the burner, turn the knob clockwise to the 'off' position.
