  2. Identify the Sprocket: Locate the camshaft sprocket that requires holding.
  3. Position the Laser 8421 Tool: Carefully place the Laser 8421 conversion disc onto the camshaft sprocket. Align the four holes on the disc with the corresponding threaded holes on the sprocket. Ensure the tool sits flush against the sprocket surface.

  4. Secure the Tool: Insert the two provided securing screws through two of the aligned holes on the Laser 8421 disc and into the camshaft sprocket. Tighten these screws hand-tight initially, then to the manufacturer's specified torque if applicable, ensuring the disc is firmly attached to the sprocket.
  5. Attach Main Holding Tool: Once the Laser 8421 disc is secured, attach the main pulley holding tool (Laser Part No. 7279 or OEM lever) to the Laser 8421 disc. The larger holding tool will engage with the outer perimeter or specific points on the Laser 8421 disc, allowing you to counter-hold the camshaft sprocket.
