Carefully remove the blanket from its packaging. The blanket may appear thin due to vacuum packing. Gently shake the blanket to restore its fluffiness. This process may take 24 to 48 hours.
Connecting the Controllers
Ensure the blanket is completely dry before connecting the controllers. Securely connect the coupler(s) from the controller(s) to the designated ports on the blanket. For Queen size blankets, there are dual controllers, allowing independent heat settings for each side. Plug the power cord(s) into a standard electrical outlet.

Lay the heated blanket flat on your bed. Ensure the controllers and cords are positioned so they are not tangled or obstructed. Avoid tucking the wired area of the blanket under the mattress or pillows.

Powering On and Heat Settings
Press the power button on the controller to turn on the blanket. Use the up and down arrows to select your desired heat setting. The blanket offers 10 heat settings for personalized comfort. The digital display will show the current heat level.

The blanket features a 10-hour auto-shutoff for safety and energy efficiency. You can adjust the timer using the dedicated timer buttons on the controller, typically ranging from 1 to 12 hours depending on the model. The LED display will dim after 10 seconds of inactivity but remains on to show the current settings.
Dual Control (Queen Size)
For Queen size blankets, two independent controllers are provided. Each controller operates one side of the blanket, allowing two users to customize their individual heat and auto-shutoff settings.

The Sunbeam Electric Heated MicroPlush Blanket is machine washable and dryer safe. Before washing, always unplug the power cord and detach the controller(s) from the blanket. Ensure both the controller(s) and the coupler(s) are completely dry before reattaching. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach or use fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat, removing the blanket while still damp to prevent excessive drying. Stretch the blanket to its original size and shape while still damp. Do not iron.

Controller Not Matching Product
Always ensure the model number on your blanket's label matches the model number on the back of the controller. Using an incompatible controller can lead to malfunction or safety hazards. If there is a mismatch, please contact customer service.
Controller Feels Too Hot
If the controller feels excessively hot, immediately unplug the blanket. Ensure the controller is not wrapped within the blanket or placed near other heat sources, as this can cause overheating. Always keep the controller visible and in an open area.
