Follow these steps to properly set up your turntable:
- אַנפּאַק און פּלייסמאַנט: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the turntable on a firm, level surface, away from speakers to minimize vibration feedback.
- Stylus/Cartridge Installation: Attach your chosen cartridge to the head shell using the provided screw set. Note: A stylus is not included with the turntable and must be purchased separately.
- Tonearm Balance and Tracking Force:
- Attach the head shell with the cartridge to the tonearm.
- Mount the balance weight onto the rear of the tonearm.
- Adjust the balance weight until the tonearm is perfectly level (floating freely).
- Set the tracking force ring to "0" while the tonearm is balanced.
- Rotate the balance weight to apply the recommended tracking force for your cartridge (typically 0-4g, as per the turntable's adjustment range).
- אַנטי-סקייטינג אַדזשאַסטמאַנט: Set the anti-skating dial to match the tracking force you applied. This helps prevent the stylus from skipping inwards.
- Arm-Height Adjustment: The tonearm height can be adjusted from 0 to 6 mm to ensure the tonearm is parallel to the record surface when playing. Use the tonearm height adjustment ring at the base of the tonearm.

- Connect the PHONO cable from the turntable's output to the PHONO input on your ampליפיער אָדער ופנעמער.
- Connect the PHONO earth lead (ground wire) from the turntable to the ground terminal on your ampליפער. Proper grounding is crucial to eliminate hum.
- Connect the AC power supply cord to the turntable and then to a wall outlet.

Once set up, operating your SL-1200MK7 is straightforward:

- דרוק די אָנהייב / האַלטן button to begin platter rotation. The platter will reach the selected speed quickly due to the direct drive system (approx. 0.7 seconds to 33 1/3 rpm).
- Carefully position the stylus over the desired groove on the record.

- Adjust Pitch: Use the pitch control fader to fine-tune the playback speed if desired.
- האַלטן פּלייבאַק: At the end of the record, or when you wish to stop, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever, return it to the tonearm rest, and press the אָנהייב / האַלטן button to halt platter rotation.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your turntable:
- Cleaning the Dust Cover: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the dust cover. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp טוך און טריקנט גלייך. פֿאַרמייַדט אַברייסיוו רייניגער.
- Cleaning the Platter and Chassis: Wipe the metal platter and turntable chassis with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
- סטילוס זאָרגן: Regularly clean your stylus with a dedicated stylus brush or cleaner to remove dust and debris, which can affect sound quality and record wear.
- רעקאָרד זאָרג: Keep your records clean and stored properly to prevent dust accumulation and scratches.
- ויסמיידן ליקווידס: Do not spill liquids on the turntable. If liquid enters the unit, disconnect power immediately and consult a qualified technician.
