The Behringer RD-6 is an analog drum machine designed to provide classic drum sounds with modern connectivity. It features eight analog drum voices, a 16-step sequencer, and USB/MIDI integration for seamless studio workflow. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your RD-6 unit.

The RD-6 offers various audio output options:

The RD-6 features eight distinct analog drum voices:
Bass Drum (BD): Controls for tone and decay.
Snare Drum (SD): Controls for tone and snare level.
Low Tom (LT) / High Tom (HT): Shared controls for tone and decay.
Cymbal (CY) / Clap (CP): Shared controls for level.
Open Hat (OH) / Closed Hat (CH): Shared controls for level.
Each voice has a dedicated level knob. The אַקצענט knob globally controls the intensity of accented steps.
4.3 Sequencing
The RD-6 features a 16-step sequencer for creating drum patterns.

Add Accent: While in WRITE PATTERN mode, hold the אַקצענט button and press a STEP button to add an accent to that step.
Save Pattern: After programming, turn the מאָדע קנופּ צו PLAY PATTERN. The pattern is automatically saved.

4.4 Pattern Chaining
You can chain multiple patterns to create longer sequences or full songs. The RD-6 supports chaining up to 250 bars.

The RD-6 includes a built-in distortion effect. Use the דיסטאָרשאַן אויף / אַוועק switch to activate it. Adjust the טאָן און LEVEL knobs to shape the distortion effect.

Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

Increase the RD-6's VOLUME knob. Check all audio cable connections. Verify input levels on your mixer or audio interface.
Ensure MIDI cables are connected correctly (OUT to IN, IN to OUT). Check MIDI channel settings on both the RD-6 and the external device. Verify the external device is sending the expected MIDI data.
Patterns are not playing back.
Unit is in WRITE mode; START/STOP button not pressed; external MIDI clock is not running.
Ensure the MODE knob is set to PLAY PATTERN. Press the START/STOP button. If syncing to external MIDI, ensure the external MIDI clock is active and sending data.
