- Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, flat, and dry surface.

- Unplug the grinder from the power outlet before cleaning, assembling, or disassembling parts.

- Only use whole roasted coffee beans in the hopper. Do not use instant coffee, ground coffee, or other substances as they may damage the grinder.

Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your Gaggia MD15 Coffee Grinder:

4. סעטאַפּ
Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your grinder:
- אַנפּאַק: אַראָפּנעמען פֿאָרזיכטיק אַלע פּאַקאַדזשינג מאַטעריאַלן און זיכער מאַכן אַז אַלע קאָמפּאָנענטן זענען פֿאַראַן.
- ריין: ווישן די יקסטיריער פון די מילכל מיט אַדamp cloth. Wash the coffee bean hopper lid and ground coffee container with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- אַסעמבאַל: Place the ground coffee container securely into its position under the dispenser outlet. Ensure the coffee bean hopper is correctly seated on top of the grinder body.
- פֿיל האָפּער: Open the hopper lid and pour whole roasted coffee beans into the hopper. Do not overfill beyond the maximum fill line. Close the lid.
- פאַרבינדן מאַכט: צאַפּן די מאַכט שנור אין אַ פּאַסיק עלעקטריקאַל ווענטיל.

5. אַפּערייטינג ינסטרוקטיאָנס
5.1. גרינדינג אַדזשאַסטמאַנט
The Gaggia MD15 offers 15 grind settings, from very fine (1) for espresso to coarse (15) for French press or filter coffee. Adjust the grind fineness using the rotary knob on the side of the grinder.
- For Espresso: Select settings 1-5.
- פֿאַר פֿילטער קאַווע: Select settings 6-10.
- פֿאַר פראנצויזיש דרוק: Select settings 11-15.
באַמערקונג: It is recommended to adjust the grind setting only when the grinder is operating or completely empty to prevent damage to the burrs.

5.2. קאַווע מאָלן
- Ensure the coffee bean hopper is filled with whole beans and the ground coffee container is in place.
- Select your desired grind fineness using the adjustment knob.
- דרוק די אָנהייב / האַלטן button on the control panel to begin grinding.
- The grinder will operate until the preset time or quantity is reached, or until you press אָנהייב / האַלטן again to manually stop it.
- Remove the ground coffee container or place your portafilter directly under the dispenser to collect the freshly ground coffee.

5.3. Using the Digital Timer
The digital display allows you to set a specific grinding time or quantity for consistent results. Use the rotary knob to navigate through the timer settings and the START/STOP button to confirm your selection. Refer to the LED icons on the control panel for visual guidance on quantity or time settings.

6.1. Cleaning the Grinding Chamber and Burrs

- אַראָפּנעמען אויבערשטן בור: Follow the instructions in your quick start guide to unlock and remove the upper conical burr.
- באַרשט רייניקונג: Use a small brush (often supplied with the grinder) to remove ground coffee particles from both the upper and lower burrs, and from the grinding chamber.
- ריאַסעמבאַל: Carefully reinsert and lock the upper burr into place.
6.2. Cleaning Hopper and Container
- The coffee bean hopper lid and ground coffee container can be washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reattaching.
