Physical Features and Components

The Mitel Aastra 6869i features a large color display and a comprehensive set of keys for efficient communication. Refer to the image below for a visual guide to the phone's components.

שליסל קאַמפּאָונאַנץ:

• קאָליר ווייַז: Large, backlit display for call information, menus, and directories.
• סאָפט קיז: Context-sensitive buttons located below the display, their functions change based on the current screen.
• נאַוויגאַציע קלאַסטער: Central directional pad for menu navigation.
• נומעריק קיפּאַד: Standard 0-9, *, # keys for dialing.
• Line Keys (L1, L2, etc.): Dedicated buttons for managing multiple lines or programmable features.
• פֿונקציע קיז: Dedicated buttons for features like Speakerphone, Headset, Mute, Volume, Hold, Transfer, Conference, Voicemail, and Home.

סעטאַפּ גייד

Follow these steps to set up your Mitel Aastra 6869i telephone.

1. צוטשעפּען דעם טיש־שטאַנד: גלייכט אויס דעם טיש-שטאַנד מיט די סלאָץ אויף דער הינטערשטער זייט פון דער טעלעפאָן-איינהייט און דריקט עס אריין אין פּלאַץ.
2. פֿאַרבינדן דעם האַנדסעט: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the back of the phone unit (marked with a handset icon).
3. Connect to Network (Ethernet):
   • Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back of the phone (marked with a network icon).
   • צאַפּן די אנדערע סוף פון די עטהערנעט קאַבלע אין דיין נעץ באַשטימען אָדער ראַוטער.
   • Note: If your network supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), the phone will power on automatically.
4. פאַרבינדן מאַכט (אויב נישט ניצן PoE): If PoE is not available, connect the power adapter to the power port on the back of the phone and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
5. פֿאַרבינדן כעדסעט (אָפּציאָנעל): If using a headset, plug it into the dedicated headset port on the phone (marked with a headset icon).
6. ערשטע אויפשטעל: The phone will power on and begin its boot sequence. This may take a few minutes. The display will show the boot progress and then the main idle screen once connected to the network and registered with your SIP server.

גרונטלעכע רוף פונקציעס

• מאַכן אַ רוף:
  1. Lift the handset, press the Speakerphone button, or press an available Line key.
  2. רעדל די געבעטן נומער ניצן די נומעריק קיפּאַד.
  3. דרוק די רעדל ווייכע קנעפל אדער ווארטן ביז דער רוף פארבינדט זיך אויטאמאטיש.
• ענטפֿערן אַ רוף:
  1. When the phone rings, lift the handset, press the Speakerphone button, or press the flashing Line key.
• ענדיקן אַ רוף:
  1. If using the handset, place it back in the cradle.
  2. אויב איר ניצט רעדנערפאָן אָדער כעדסעט, דריק די סוף רופן soft key or the Speakerphone/Headset button.

Advanced Call Functions

• האַלטן: בעשאַס אַן אַקטיוו רופן, דריקן די האַלטן soft key or dedicated Hold button. To resume, press the flashing Line key or the נעמענ זיכ ווידער ווייך שליסל.
• אַריבערפירן: בעשאַס אַן אַקטיוו רופן, דריקן די Xfer (Transfer) soft key or dedicated Transfer button. Dial the transfer destination number, then press the אַריבערפירן ווייך שליסל ווידער.
• קאָנפֿערענץ: בעשאַס אַן אַקטיוו רופן, דריקן די קאָנפ (Conference) soft key or dedicated Conference button. Dial the number of the third party, and once connected, press the קאָנפ soft key again to join all parties.

Using the Display and Soft Keys

The color display provides visual information about calls, menus, and phone status. The soft keys located directly below the display change their function based on the current context. Their labels on the screen indicate their current action (e.g., Pickup, Conf, Xfer, Voicemail, Home).

ווויסמייל

To access your voicemail, press the dedicated ווויסמייל button. Follow the audio prompts to listen to messages, change greetings, or adjust settings.

Directory / קאָנטאַקטן

Access your phone's directory by pressing the Directory soft key or a dedicated button (if configured). Use the navigation cluster to scroll through contacts and press the רעדל soft key to initiate a call.

באַנד קאָנטראָל

אַדזשאַסטירן די באַנד בעת אַ רוף מיטן נוצן די באַנד אַרויף און באַנד אַראָפּ buttons. When the phone is idle, these buttons control the ringer volume.

וישאַלט

רייניקונג די טעלעפאָן

• אָפּשטעקן דעם טעלעפאָן פֿון עלעקטריע איידער רייניקונג.
• ניצן אַ ווייך, דamp, lint-free cloth to wipe the phone's surfaces.
• ניצט נישט קיין שרײַבנדיקע רייניגער, וואַקסן אדער סאָלווענטן, ווײַל די קענען שאַטן די ענדיקונג.
• פֿאַרמײַדט צו שפּריצן פֿליסיקייטן גלייך אויף דעם טעלעפֿאָן.
