This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the TASCAM DR-05 Portable Digital Recorder. Please read this document thoroughly before operating the device to ensure proper usage and to maximize its functionality.

- To remove, push the card inward until it springs out.

Operating the DR-05
רעקאָרדינג אַודיאָ
- דרוק די רעקאָרד button once to enter record standby mode. The recording level meters will appear on the display.
- Adjust the input level using the + און - buttons on the directional pad to ensure optimal audio capture without clipping.
- דרוק די רעקאָרד button again to begin recording. The REC indicator will light up.
- צו פּויזע רעקאָרדינג, דריקן די רעקאָרד button once. Press again to resume.

The DR-05 supports recording in WAV (up to 24-bit/96kHz) and MP3 formats. These settings can be adjusted in the recording menu.
Connecting External Microphones
- Connect an external microphone to the MIC/EXT IN 3.5mm jack located at the top of the device.
- פאַרזיכערן אַז די MIC POWER setting is enabled in the recording menu if your external microphone requires plug-in power.

No Sound from External Microphone
- Check if the external microphone is securely connected to the MIC/EXT IN דזשאַק.
- נאַוויגירן צו די REC SETTING menu and ensure MIC POWER איז באַשטימט צו ON if your microphone requires power.
- Verify the microphone cable is not damaged.
Audio Levels Too Low/High
- During record standby, adjust the input level using the + און - buttons on the directional pad. Aim for levels that peak in the yellow range on the meter without consistently hitting red.
