This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Marantz PMD101 Mono-Pitch Control Portable Cassette Recorder. 1. פּאַוערינג די אַפּאַראַט
The PMD101 can be powered by either batteries or an AC adapter (not included, sold separately). Ensure the unit is turned off before connecting or disconnecting power sources.

Basic Tape Functions

- האַלטן / אַרויסוואַרפן: דרוק די האַלטן / אַרויסוואַרפן button to stop playback or recording. Press again to open the cassette compartment.
- צוריקדרייען (REW): דרוק די REW button to rewind the tape.
- שנעל פאָרווערטס (FF): דרוק די FF button to fast forward the tape.
- פּויזע: דרוק די פּויזע button during playback or recording to temporarily stop the tape. Press again to resume.
רעקאָרדינג
- Ensure a recordable cassette tape is loaded (one without the safety tabs broken off).
- Set the desired recording speed using the SPEED switch (1-7/8 ips or 15/16 ips).

Turning the knob clockwise increases the pitch/speed, and counter-clockwise decreases it. This feature is useful for transcription or fine-tuning audio playback.
