Familiarize yourself with the various parts and controls of your UV-K1(8) radio:

5.1 אַטאַטשינג די אַנטענע

Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it upwards until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release latch (if present) and slide the battery downwards.
6. טשאַרדזשינג די באַטערי
Your UV-K1(8) radio supports multiple charging methods:
- טיפּ C טשאַרדזשינג: Connect a Type-C USB cable directly to the radio's Type-C port or to the battery pack itself (for long battery versions).
- באַזע טשאַרדזשינג: Place the radio into the provided desktop charger base. Ensure the charging points align. The indicator light on the radio or charger will show charging status.
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before initial use. Charging time may vary depending on battery capacity and charge level.
7. יקערדיק אָפּעראַציע
7.1 אײַנשטעלן/אויסשטעלן און וואָלומען
Rotate the Power/Volume Knob clockwise to turn the radio on and increase volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn off the radio.
7.2 אָפטקייט און קאַנאַל אויסוואַל
Use the number keypad to directly input frequencies or navigate through stored channels using the up/down arrow keys. The 1.44-inch screen will display the current frequency or channel information.
7.3 טראַנסמיטינג (PTT)
To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) key on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT key to return to receive mode.
7.4 Fast Copy One Channel (Frequency Meter)
This feature allows the radio to act as a frequency meter. Press the F+4 Key to initiate fast copying of a channel. The radio will scan and display the frequency and CTC/DCS codes.
7.5 AM/FM Aviation Band Receiving
The radio can receive signals on the AM/FM aviation bands. Refer to the full manual for specific instructions on how to switch to these bands and scan for frequencies.
