4.2. Initial Setup (Using Tuya Smart / Smart Life App)

1. Install Your Zigbee Hub: Connect your Zigbee gateway to power and your home Wi-Fi network according to its specific instructions.

5. Pair the BSD56 Smart Plug:
   1. Plug the BSD56 Smart Plug into a power outlet.
   2. Press and hold the physical button on the smart plug until the blue indicator light begins to flash quickly.
   3. In the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app, tap the "+" icon (usually in the top right corner) to "Add Device".
   4. Select "Zigbee" from the device categories, then choose "Socket" or "Smart Plug".
   5. The app will prompt you to confirm that the indicator light on the plug is flashing quickly. Confirm and proceed.
   6. Select your previously added Zigbee hub from the list.
   7. Wait for the connection process to complete (this may take up to 20 seconds).
   8. Once successfully connected, the app will confirm, and the plug's indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.

A: You cannot switch modes without re-pairing the device to a different hub type. If you want to use Tuya-specific features, you must pair it with a Tuya Zigbee hub. For universal Zigbee 3.0 compatibility, pair it with a standard Zigbee 3.0 gateway.
