Follow these steps to install your GoPro camera into the SmallRig cage:
- Open the Cage: Press the flap lock to open the cage.

- Close the Cage: Close the flap lock until it clicks securely into place.
- Secure Side Plate: Ensure the removable side plate is properly aligned and locked.

Important Notes for Installation:
- GoPro Hero 12 Black: Due to the special surface technology of the GoPro Hero 12 Black, the 3084C cage may cause a slight indentation on the camera body to ensure better installation. This does not affect the device's functionality.
- GoPro Hero 10 / 9 Black Gaskets: The package includes two 1.5mm thick gaskets. For GoPro Hero 10 / 9 Black, users may need to replace the pre-installed 1.0mm thin gaskets on the cage back panel with these thicker ones to achieve optimal installation and stability. Please refer to customer service for detailed instructions if needed.
- Max Lens Mod: If using a Max Lens Mod, install the camera into the cage first, then attach the Max Lens Mod.

Operation and Accessory Mounting
The SmallRig cage offers various mounting points for expanding your camera's capabilities:

- Indentation on Hero 12 Black: A slight indentation on the GoPro Hero 12 Black body is normal due to the cage's design for secure fit and does not affect camera performance.
- Accessory Mounting Issues: Ensure accessories are compatible with cold shoe mounts or 1/4"-20 threaded holes. Do not overtighten screws to avoid damaging the cage or accessories.
