This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Huanyu 22 Liter Pressure Cooker and Canner, Model HY-PC01. Please read all instructions carefully before operation to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.
The Huanyu pressure cooker is designed for both pressure cooking and safe home pressure canning of low-acid foods. Its 22-liter capacity makes it suitable for large batches, and the adjustable pressure weight allows for versatile cooking and canning applications.
פּראָדוקט פֿעיִקייטן
- Safe Home Food Preservation: Pressure canning is the only safe method for preserving low-acid foods such as vegetables, meat, and fish. This process destroys botulism-causing bacteria by using pressure to seal jars, expelling air and preventing spoilage.
- Adjustable Pressure Weight (5, 10, 15 PSI): The improved pressure weight offers three settings:
- 5 PSI: For low-pressure cooking or use as a conventional slow cooker.
- 10 PSI: Ideal for daily canning at low altitudes.
- 15 PSI: Designed for high-altitude canning or preserving meat.
- Large 22 Liter Capacity: This model is suitable for individuals or families requiring large-scale food preservation. It can accommodate up to 18 pint jars or 7 quart jars, allowing for double-layer stacking.
- 2-in-1 Pressure Cooker and Canner: Functions as both a reliable canner for low-acid foods and an efficient pressure cooker for daily meals, significantly reducing cooking times.
- Complete Canning Utensil Kit: Includes a jar lifter, kitchen tongs, jar wrench, bubble remover, magnetic lid lifter, canning funnel, and a heat-resistant glove.

Always follow these safety precautions when operating your pressure cooker:
- דו זאלסט נישט אָוווערפיל די דרוק קוקער.
- Ensure the lid is properly sealed before increasinג דרוק.
- Never force the lid open while the cooker is pressurized.
- Always allow pressure to release naturally or using the quick release method as instructed, before opening.
- Keep hands and face away from the steam vent during operation.
- Regularly inspect the gasket and safety valves for wear or damage.
- Use caution when handling hot surfaces and steam.

- ערשט רייניקונג: Wash the pressure cooker pot, lid, and all accessories with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- סעטאַפּ ינסטאַלירונג: Ensure the sealing gasket is correctly seated in the lid groove.
- Pressure Regulator Weight Assembly: The adjustable pressure weight consists of a base and removable rings.
- For 5 PSI: Use only the base weight.
- For 10 PSI: Add one ring to the base weight.
- For 15 PSI: Add two rings to the base weight.
- אָרט: Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level heat source. The alloy base is compatible with induction, gas, and open flame cooktops.

General Pressure Cooking
- לייג ינגרידיאַנץ: Place food and the required amount of liquid into the pressure cooker. Do not fill more than two-thirds full for most foods, and no more than half full for foods that expand (e.g., rice, beans).
- זיכער דעקל: Place the lid on the cooker, aligning the arrows or marks, and rotate to lock it securely.
- Set Pressure Weight: Place the appropriate pressure weight (5, 10, or 15 PSI) onto the vent pipe.
- היץ מקור: Place the cooker on a high heat source. Steam will begin to escape from the vent pipe.
- Pressure Achieved: Once a steady stream of steam is released, the pressure regulator weight will begin to rock or jiggle. This indicates that the desired pressure has been reached. Reduce heat to maintain a gentle rocking motion.
- קוקינג צייט: Begin timing according to your recipe.
- דרוק מעלדונג:
- נאַטירלעך מעלדונג: Remove the cooker from heat and allow pressure to drop naturally. The pressure indicator will drop, and the lid will unlock when safe to open.
- Quick Release (for some foods): Carefully move the pressure weight to release steam. Use caution as hot steam will escape rapidly. Only use this method if specified by your recipe and for foods that benefit from it.
- עפענען דעקל: Once pressure is fully released, unlock and remove the lid, tilting it away from your face to avoid residual steam.

דרוק קאַננינג
Pressure canning is essential for preserving low-acid foods (pH 4.6 or higher) to prevent bacterial growth, including botulism. Always refer to tested canning recipes and guidelines from reputable sources.

- Prepare Jars and Food: Wash and sterilize canning jars. Prepare food according to a tested canning recipe.
- פֿיל די גלעזער: Fill jars with prepared food, leaving the recommended headspace. Use the canning funnel for clean filling.
- אַראָפּנעמען לופט באַבאַלז: Use the bubble remover tool to release trapped air bubbles from jars.
- Clean Rims and Apply Lids: Wipe jar rims clean. Place new, warm lids and screw bands on jars, tightening finger-tight.
- Load Canner: Place the canning rack at the bottom of the pressure cooker. Using the jar lifter, carefully place filled jars onto the rack. Jars can be double-stacked if space allows, using a second rack.
- לייג וואסער: Add 2-3 inches of hot water to the canner, or as specified by your recipe. Do not pour water directly onto jars.
- Secure Lid and Vent: Place and lock the lid. Turn heat to high. Allow steam to vent steadily from the open vent pipe for 10 minutes to exhaust air from the canner. This is crucial for safe canning.
- Apply Pressure Weight: After 10 minutes of venting, place the appropriate pressure weight (10 PSI for low altitude, 15 PSI for high altitude) onto the vent pipe.
- Reach and Maintain Pressure: Allow pressure to build until the weight begins to rock or jiggle steadily. Reduce heat to maintain this steady motion.
- Process Jars: Begin timing the processing according to your recipe. Maintain consistent pressure throughout the entire processing time.
- קיל אַראָפּ: After processing, turn off the heat. Allow the canner to cool naturally until the pressure indicator drops completely and the lid can be opened without resistance. Do not force cool the canner.
- Remove Jars: Using the jar lifter, carefully remove hot jars and place them on a towel-lined surface, allowing space between jars for air circulation. Let them cool undisturbed for 12-24 hours.
- טשעק סתימות: After cooling, check jar seals. Lids should be concave and not flex when pressed. Remove screw bands, wipe jars, label, and store in a cool, dark place.

וישאַלט און זאָרג
- רייניקונג: After each use, wash all parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots or corrosion. The main pot can be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner.
- גאַסקאַט: Remove the gasket from the lid for cleaning. Ensure it is flexible and free from cracks or tears. Replace if damaged.
- Vent Pipe and Safety Valve: Ensure the vent pipe and safety valve are clear of any food debris. Use a small brush or pipe cleaner if necessary.
- סטאָרידזש: Store the pressure cooker with the lid inverted on the pot to allow air circulation and prevent odors. Store in a dry place.
- מאָס קאַלאַבריישאַן: If your model includes a dial gauge, it is recommended to have it calibrated annually to ensure accuracy, especially for canning.
