4. Fitting Your Helmet

A properly fitted helmet is essential for safety and comfort. Follow these steps to ensure a secure fit:

  1. פּאַזישאַנינג: Place the helmet squarely on your head, covering your forehead. It should sit level, not tilted back or forward.
  2. Adjusting the Dial Retention System: Locate the dial at the back of the helmet. Turn the dial clockwise to tighten the fit system around your head, or counter-clockwise to loosen it. Adjust until the helmet feels snug and does not move when you shake your head.
  3. Hands adjusting the dial retention system on the back of a helmet

  4. Adjusting Side Straps: The side straps should form a 'V' shape just below your ears. Adjust the sliders to ensure the straps are comfortable and do not interfere with your ears.
  5. Adjusting Chin Strap: Fasten the chin strap buckle. Tighten the strap until it is snug under your chin, allowing only one or two fingers to fit between the strap and your chin. The helmet should not be able to roll forward or backward excessively.

Once adjusted, the helmet should not shift significantly when you move your head. If it does, re-adjust the dial and straps.
