2. Turn on the pond pump. Water will begin to flow from the pond, through the pump, into the filter's inlet, through the filtration media, and then exit via the outlet back into the pond.
3. Monitor the water flow to ensure there are no leaks and that water is returning to the pond as expected.
4. Allow the filter to run continuously for optimal performance. Biological filtration takes time to establish.

6.1. Cleaning Filter Media
