4. סעטאַפּ און צוגרייטונג
4.1 Attaching the Dial Indicator
- Carefully unpackage the dial indicator.
- Insert the stem of the dial indicator into the mounting hole at the top of the bore gauge body.
- Secure the dial indicator by tightening the small screw on the bore gauge body. Ensure it is firm but do not overtighten.

4.2 Selecting and Installing Measuring Rods/Anvils
- Determine the approximate diameter of the bore you intend to measure.
- Select the appropriate measuring rod (anvils) from the accessory box that, when combined with the fixed anvil on the bore gauge, will cover the desired measurement range. The movable anvil on one side and an interchangeable one on the other are used for setting the bore diameter.
- Screw the selected measuring rod into the threaded hole at the bottom of the bore gauge body. Ensure it is securely fastened.

4.3 Zeroing the Gauge
- Before taking measurements, the bore gauge must be zeroed against a known standard (e.g., a setting ring or a calibrated micrometer).
- Place the bore gauge into the standard, ensuring both anvils are in contact with the internal surface.
- Gently rock the gauge to find the minimum reading, which represents the true diameter.
- Rotate the outer bezel of the dial indicator until the needle points to zero at this minimum reading. The gauge is now set for comparative measurements.

5. אָפּעראַציע
5.1 מעאַסורינג
- Ensure the bore gauge is properly assembled and zeroed against a known standard close to the expected measurement.
- Carefully insert the bore gauge into the workpiece bore.
- Gently rock the gauge from side to side, perpendicular to the bore axis, to find the point of minimum deflection on the dial indicator. This minimum reading corresponds to the true diameter of the bore.
- Read the deviation from zero on the dial indicator.
5.2 Reading the Dial Indicator
- If the needle moves clockwise from zero, the bore is larger than the set standard.
- If the needle moves counter-clockwise from zero, the bore is smaller than the set standard.
- Each graduation on the dial represents 0.01mm. Multiply the number of graduations by 0.01mm to determine the deviation.
- Add or subtract this deviation from the standard's diameter to get the actual bore measurement.
6. וישאַלט
6.1 רייניקונג
- After each use, wipe down the bore gauge and dial indicator with a clean, soft cloth to remove any dust, oil, or debris.
- For stubborn grime, use a mild, non-corrosive cleaning solution applied to a cloth, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid direct contact of liquids with the dial indicator mechanism.
6.2 סטאָרידזש
- Store the bore gauge set in its original protective case when not in use.
- Keep the case in a dry, clean environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
- Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage to prevent corrosion.
6.3 קאַלאַבריישאַן
- Regularly check the accuracy of the bore gauge against certified setting rings or master micrometers.
- If significant deviations are observed, professional calibration may be required.
7. טראָובלעשאָאָטינג
- ומפּינקטלעך רידינגז:
Ensure the gauge was properly zeroed against a known standard. Check that the correct measuring rod is installed for the bore size. Verify that the gauge is rocked correctly to find the minimum reading. Inspect the anvils and measuring rods for wear or damage. - Dial Indicator Not Moving Smoothly:
Check for any debris or foreign objects obstructing the movement of the indicator stem. Ensure the indicator is securely but not overly tightened in its mount. If the issue persists, the dial indicator may require professional servicing. - Gauge Not Fitting Bore:
Confirm that the selected measuring rod and anvil combination is appropriate for the bore's diameter. Do not force the gauge into a bore it does not fit, as this can cause damage.
