5.1. Turning On and Heating Up

3. פּאַרע מילך: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam valve fully. Angle the pitcher to create a vortex. As the milk heats and expands, lower the pitcher slightly to keep the tip just below the surface for aeration.
4. היץ מילך: Once the desired foam is achieved, immerse the wand deeper to heat the milk to temperature (around 60-65°C / 140-150°F).

Backflushing cleans the brew group and internal valves.

1. Insert a blind filter basket into the portafilter.
2. Add a small amount of espresso machine cleaning detergent (e.g., Cafiza) to the blind filter.
3. Lock the portafilter into the brew group.
