Once carbonation is complete, gently pull the bottle rest forward to release the bottle. The bottle will automatically disengage from the snap-lock mechanism.

3. Adding Flavors (Optional)

Always add flavors after carbonation, never before, as this can cause overflow and damage the machine. Pour the desired amount of syrup into the carbonated water and gently mix.

3. CO2 Cylinder Replacement

When the CO2 cylinder is empty, you will notice a decrease in carbonation strength or no carbonation at all. To replace, follow the installation steps in the 'Setup' section in reverse to remove the empty cylinder, then insert a new one. Empty cylinders can often be exchanged for full ones at authorized retailers.

• No Carbonation or Weak Carbonation:
  Ensure the CO2 cylinder is properly installed and not empty. If the cylinder is new, ensure it is fully tightened. If the issue persists, the cylinder may be faulty or empty.
• Water Overflowing During Carbonation:
  Ensure the carbonating bottle is filled only to the indicated fill line. Overfilling can cause water to overflow. Also, ensure you are only carbonating plain water; never carbonate liquids with added flavors or syrups.
• Difficulty Attaching/Detaching Bottle:
  Ensure the bottle rest is pulled forward before inserting or removing the bottle. The bottle should snap securely into place. Do not force the bottle.
• Machine Not Functioning:
  The SodaStream Source is a manual device and does not require electricity or batteries for carbonation. If the LED indicators are not lighting up, this may indicate an issue with the internal battery for the lights, but it should not affect carbonation.
