1. ינסטאָלינג באַטעריז
- Open the battery compartment cover, typically located on the bottom of the camera.

Thread the shoulder strap through the strap lugs on the camera body to prevent accidental drops.

- Turn the mode dial to AUTO or AUTO PICT.
- Frame your shot using the 3-inch tiltable LCD screen or the electronic viewFinder (EVF).

3. ניצן דעם זום
The camera features a 26x optical zoom lens (22.3-580mm equivalent) and a 7.2x digital zoom.
- To zoom in (telephoto), push the zoom lever towards T.
- To zoom out (wide-angle), push the zoom lever towards W.
באַמערקונג: Digital zoom extends beyond optical zoom but may result in reduced image quality.

The Pentax X-5 can record Full HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second with H.264 compression.
- Turn the mode dial to the movie camera icon.
- Press the dedicated movie recording button (usually marked with a red dot) to start and stop recording.
